Fitness and Recreational Athletes
Whether you play tennis, golf or simply love working out, you can bulletproof yourself from pain and injury if you make sure you're moving well before you move often. In addition, personalizing valuable warm up & warm down time can be a game changer in playing well and for the long game.
**We can meet in person, or ONLINE: I've been doing Zoom & FaceTime sessions for a while now, and they work quite well.**
"There are more doctor visits for musculoskeletal issues from exercisers than there are from non-exercisers. Exercise is now a risk factor – for health, not for fitness. We’ve put “fitness” on movement dysfunction when moving well, before moving often, should be the priority." – Gray Cook, Physical Therapist, co- creator, FMS
For athletes:
Work with me during a “deload” week in or off-season, or if you are pre/post physical therapy, to get help in correcting any mobility issues and movement pattern dysfunctions - full body. I'll help you find where your body’s “blind spots” are - areas of overuse, underuse, misuse or abuse with the Functional Movement Screen and my subjective eye. I’ll also help you to increase your toolbox of self-therapy and movement corrective options so that you can be an expert in recovering well in between games. See my Sports page to learn about some of the options I can scale for you and your sport.
For non-athletes or those returning to fitness or sport:
If you’ve felt overwhelmed by the busy fitness landscape and not sure where to start (or re-start), you're not alone. I'll help you find where your body’s “blind spots” are - areas of overuse, underuse, misuse or abuse with the Functional Movement Screen and my subjective eye. I’ll help you deal with aches & pains and to get to know your body better. You’ll gain confidence in your body and get excited about working out again.
